Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Gita Focus (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an iPhone app that helps you build focus by blocking distracting apps until you reflect on a verse from the Bhagavad Gita. This policy explains what data the app does and does not handle.

2. Information we do not collect

Gita Focus does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.

3. Information that stays on your device

To work, the app stores certain information locally on your iPhone only. This never leaves your device and is never sent to us:

• Your blocked-app selections — chosen through Apple's Screen Time picker. Because of Apple's privacy design, even the app itself cannot see which apps you selected; it only receives an anonymous, on-device token.
• Your reflections, streaks, and progress — stored locally so the app can show your wisdom habit over time.
• Your preferences — such as which verses you've seen and your settings.

4. Apple Screen Time & Family Controls

Gita Focus uses Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework to block and unlock apps. This is an Apple system feature that runs entirely on your device. The app does not receive a list of your installed apps or your usage statistics — Apple keeps that information private to you.

5. Purchases

If Gita Focus offers a subscription or in-app purchase, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your card details. Apple may share anonymized purchase and subscription status so the app can unlock premium features. Apple's handling of this information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Analytics & crash reports

The app may use Apple's built-in, privacy-preserving analytics and crash reporting, which you can turn off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone. This data is aggregated by Apple and does not identify you.

7. Children

Gita Focus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your control

Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data, including your reflections, streaks, and app selections.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll revise the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the app or on this page.
